For this Community Conversation, we will be hearing from Rebeccah Akintade, a first-year Ph.D. candidate in the Ohio State Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department. Rebeccah will talk about her decision to go for her Ph.D., her academic career to this point, and the opportunities that have been opened up to her as a student, including the research process.

Rebeccah Akintade Bio:

Rebeccah Akintade is in her 1st year of the Ph.D. program in Aerospace Engineering. She is passionate about sustainable aviation and hopes to explore efficient and sustainable energy solutions. Prior to arriving at OSU, she completed a Masters’ degree from Beijing institute of Technology in Beijing, China and a Bachelors’ degree in Lagos, Nigeria. She has interned and worked in various places and capacities including Chevron Nigeria and Evoke Motorcycles. She is fluent in English and Chinese, likes traveling and learning new things.
