Maria Pacheco Garrillo

Research Assistant, HEALing Communities Study policy core

Maria Pacheco is a PhD candidate at the College of Public Health, specializing in Health Behavior and Health Promotion. Her research focuses on advancing gender-responsive approaches to substance use disorder (SUD) care, with an emphasis on access, implementation, and equity for women of reproductive age. She has been part of the HEALing Communities Study for the past year, supporting work on data use in coalitions, evidence-based intervention (EBI) dissemination, and a paper examining levy funding and opioid coalition governance.
