On Feb 2, AEP Ohio joined us for an exclusive Meet and Greet to connect with students about opportunities they can take advantage of for internships and employment while also discussing some of the exciting technologies that AEP is working with and installing all around the state.

Over 30 students from a variety of majors including business, environmental sciences, engineering, international relations, and more attended the event and learned how their expertise could lead them to a job in the energy field. Students were able to ask questions about the use of sustainable energy in their portfolio, what it is like to work with AEP, and guidance about how to best break into the industry.

Our Meet and greets are designed to bring in professionals that students can relate to and connect with on the kinds of jobs they will be working. This allows students to network within the industry rather than only talking with HR representatives and recruiters. Guests from AEP’s exclusive meet and greet included:

  • Matthew Samborsky, Principal Engineer - Digital Innovation Supervisor,
  • Daniel Connors, New Tech Dev & Policy Supt Engineer
  • Chip Walton, Designer

We are so thankful to AEP and Caroline Chao who helped make this event possible. We also want to thank all of the students who were able to attend.
