This summer, the Ohio State ECOAir team competed in the NASA Blue Skies Competition, earning second overall. The team designed a sustainable airport with the latest and developmental technologies to reimagine air travel. As a result of their incredible work, the ECOAir team has the opportunity to present to the commission that is building next international airport in the United States.

To practice their presentation and get feedback from other students, ECOAir team members Madi Herrmann, Maya Sivakumaran, and Niraj Patel discussed the research they have been preparing for the commission.

This was a great opportunity for practice, but to also connect with other students with a passion for the sustainable energy industry. The Sustainable Energy Student Community is built to connect students with a shared passion and help to further the industry. Students from the team and the community have setup times to discuss more options for creating an airport that prioritizes the use of sustainable energy.

The Sustainable Energy Student Community continues to grow and find opportunities to apply skills to real-world challenges. The ECOAir team will continue to push forward and bring more ideas to the table for the future of air travel.
