Join us for our first Air & Space Community Conversation of the school year. Jacob Stonehill of Analytical Mechanics Associates and current graduate student at Ohio State will be leading the discussion and talk about his experiences in Nuclear Engineering and can speak to his journey as a student, working full time while still earning his degree, and more! Register today and have dinner and conversation with one of Ohio State's best!
Jacob Stonehill is a Nuclear Systems Engineer in the Advanced Projects group at Analytical Mechanics Associates. He primarily supports both the reactor and engine team for the NASA Space Nuclear Propulsion project where he specializes in high fidelity thermal and neutron transport analysis. In addition, he develops component-level models for the NASA Advanced Concepts Office to enhance their space nuclear system modeling suite.
Jacob has a degree in Aerospace Engineering from The Ohio State University. He is currently working towards his PhD in Nuclear Engineering, also at The Ohio State University. His research areas include design and testing of a novel Centrifugal Nuclear Thermal Rocket and the development of a high-fidelity coupled multiphysics modeling code for advanced space nuclear applications.
